These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DeepJournal mobile application and related services (the "Service") operated by TaoApex Limited ("we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service
DeepJournal is a journaling and self-reflection tool. It uses artificial intelligence to help you record thoughts, recall past themes, and receive action suggestions.
DeepJournal is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not a substitute for professional mental health care, counseling, or emergency services.
If you are in crisis, contact emergency services (911 in the US), call or text 988, text HOME to 741741, or use local crisis resources.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

3. Account and security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify support@taoapex.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions
- Paid features (Pro) are billed through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's terms.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before period end.
- Manage cancellations in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful content, or use DeepJournal to harm yourself or others. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or threaten service integrity.

6. Your content
You retain ownership of your journal content. You grant TaoApex a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service (including AI processing needed for summaries, memory, and suggestions).

7. AI limitations
AI outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for how you interpret and act on suggestions. Do not rely on DeepJournal for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

8. Disclaimers and liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. TaoApex Limited disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaoApex Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits arising from use of the Service.

9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations. Provisions that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability) remain in effect.

10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply.
