Privacy Policy

Fairkin is an iPhone fairness ledger for family caregivers. This policy explains what the app collects, where that data is stored, how long it is kept, and how you can export or delete it.

What we collect. A family group name, the nicknames of the members in that group, the ledger entries you create (care category, date, duration or amount, and any short note), a device-generated anonymous identifier, and the identity token returned by Sign in with Apple. Sign in with Apple may return an email address; we do not collect identity information beyond that email address. We do not collect your contacts, your location, or health data.

Where it is stored. Cloud data is stored in Cloudflare D1 in the United States region. A local copy is kept in a SQLite database on your device so the ledger still opens without a connection. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf as our hosting provider and does not use it for its own purposes.

How long we keep it. For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the cloud copy of the family group, member nicknames, ledger entries, and rule versions is deleted. Data on your device is removed when you delete the app.

Your rights. You can export all of your data as JSON or PDF from inside the app. You can delete your account in the app under Family → Settings → Delete Account; that permanently deletes the cloud data. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or by contacting support, though withdrawing consent ends your ability to use the cloud ledger. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.

AI processing. In v1.0, a short phrase you type may be processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to turn it into a ledger entry. Those short inputs are not used to train models and are not shared across users.

No advertising or analytics. Fairkin contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Children. Fairkin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
