Use of Fairkin is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms supplement that EULA and do not replace it.

The service. Fairkin is an iPhone app that keeps a shared fairness ledger for a household. It records time, money, night shifts, emergencies, and emotional labour as entries, converts them onto one point scale using weights the household sets, suggests a monthly settlement, and keeps every rule change as a version showing who changed it, who confirmed it, and a before-and-after diff. Fairkin is a record-keeping and communication tool, not a court, mediator, or financial service.

Accounts and family groups. You sign in with Sign in with Apple. A family group has an owner and members; entries, rule versions, and the monthly settlement are visible to the members of that group. The owner manages membership, and removing a member ends that member's access to the group's cloud ledger. Keep your Apple ID secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

Free and Pro. Fairkin is free to start. A Pro subscription unlocks more household members and JSON/PDF export. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store and can be cancelled at any time in iOS Settings; price and period are shown on the App Store page. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, and a subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation stops future renewals; refund requests are handled by Apple under its refund policy. Purchases are processed by Apple, not by us.

Acceptable use. Use Fairkin lawfully and only for a household you belong to or are invited into. Do not use it to harass, pressure, surveil, or retaliate against another person; do not enter information you know to be false in order to mislead the group; do not attempt to access another group's data, reverse engineer the app, or interfere with its operation. We may remove content or suspend access for a material breach of these terms or for illegal use.

Not medical advice. Fairkin is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not match families with caregivers or agencies, does not transfer, collect, or hold money, does not locate, film, or health-monitor anyone, is not a public social network, and does not handle insurance claims. A settlement suggestion is a record of what the household agreed, not a legal or financial determination. Consult a qualified professional for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

Termination. You may stop using Fairkin and delete your account at any time in the app under Family → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms or use the app illegally; where practical, we will tell you why. On termination, your right to use the app ends, while the disclaimers and limitation of liability below continue to apply.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fairkin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the ledger will resolve a family disagreement or that any entry is accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions family members make using the ledger. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

Changes. We may update these terms. A new version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date, and material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
