These terms govern your use of OweTrace, an iOS app operated by TaoApex Limited. By installing or using it, you agree to use it lawfully and to check anything the app drafts before you send it.

1. What OweTrace does

OweTrace records items where you have done your part and the next move is owed by someone else, keeps a timeline of what was promised and when, and reminds you locally when it is time to follow up. Optional AI features can turn a sentence into a structured trace, interpret a reply, draft a follow-up message, and summarise the history of one item. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and is never sent anywhere automatically — you review and send it yourself.

OweTrace is not a to-do list, a CRM, a customer-support system, a legal service, a debt-collection tool, or a substitute for your own judgement about when to chase someone.

2. Your responsibility

You choose what to record and what to send. You are responsible for the accuracy of the traces you create, for the content you submit to AI features, and for any message you send after reviewing a draft. Do not use OweTrace to record information you are not authorised to hold, and do not use it to harass anyone. Following up is your decision; the app only surfaces the timing.

3. Permissions and third parties

Local notifications are used only after you schedule a follow-up or expected-by date. Optional AI features require a network connection and send the submitted text to the developer's AI endpoint described in the Privacy Policy. Apple provides purchase processing. Each service is bound by its own terms.

4. Free tier and Pro subscription

The free version lets you keep up to 5 active traces with manual capture, timeline, search, and local notifications. OweTrace Pro removes the active-trace limit and unlocks AI Quick Add, AI update parsing, AI follow-up drafts, and Context Capsule.

  • Price: US$2.99 per month or US$19.99 per year, which may vary by country and is confirmed in the app before purchase.
  • Billing: charged to your Apple ID on confirmation of purchase.
  • Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same duration unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing and cancelling: you can turn off auto-renew at any time in your Apple ID account settings; any unused portion of the current term is not refunded when you cancel.
  • Access: cancelling or losing entitlement returns your traces to the free tier's limits. Your recorded data is not deleted.

5. Availability, changes, and disclaimers

We may add, change, or retire features. AI availability can depend on network conditions or on our provider's continued availability. OweTrace is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaoApex Limited is not liable for missed deadlines, lost opportunities, or decisions made from an unreviewed AI draft or a notification that did not reach you because notifications or background refresh were disabled on your device.
